Beginning this project with limited film experience, our goal was to learn enough so that we would be confident creating a video in the future. The aim was to create a persuasive crowd funding video for a product of our own creation. We were heavily inspired by a video from the New York Times which used props and a bold, contrasting colour scheme as the primary source of subject matter. We thought that by limiting ourselves to props and minimal ‘character’ roles we would challenge ourselves creatively by telling a story using interesting props as visual metaphors.
